Lowe Finney (b.
November 1,
1975) is an American politician and a
Democratic member of the
Tennessee Senate for the 27th district, which is composed of
Madison,
Gibson, and
Carroll counties.
Education and career
Lowe Finney graduated from the
University of Tennessee at Martin with a
bachelor's degree in Business Administration; he obtained a Law Degree at
Saint Louis University. He taught as an instructor at Lane College in
Jackson, Tennessee and is currently an instructor at
Lambuth University in Jackson. He taught Civil Rights and Business Law and Ethics. He is the Secretary and Treasurer of the Senate Democratic Caucus and the Vice-Chair of the Senate State and Local Government Committee. Senator Finney is also a member of the Environment, Conservation and Tourism; Government Operations; and Joint Lottery Oversight Committees.
